Reflexology is a gentle relaxing treatment that is performed on the feet or hands. Very specific pressure is applied to areas of the feet where all the organs of the body are mapped out. By applying this specific pressure, our reflexologist can help your body to maintain, and balance the delicate systems within it. The body in principle is divided into 10 zones and energies flow through these zones. When these energies become blocked disorders can occur. By treating the reflex points on the feet the reflexologist is aiming to encourage the body to start healing itself.

  • What happens in a reflexology Nottingham session?
The first reflexology session will begin with the reflexologist taking your medical history and will discuss with you any symptoms and problems that are causing you concern. You will then be asked to remove your footwear and asked to sit in one of our specially designed chairs or on a treatment couch. Your reflexologist will help you to become comfortablly relaxed so that you can totally experience the benefits of your reflexology treatment.

    Reflexology and Pregnancy?
Reflexology is an excellent way to help maintain the body’s ever-changing balance throughout pregnancy. Our reflexologists can help your body to rebalance itself and often helps in pregnancy with conditions such as nausea, indigestion, constipation and aches and pains.

Reflexology can help with your birthing process, helping you to feel more calm and in control throughout. We would also recommend that you consider returning for further treatment in the post natal period to re-address your hormone balance and posture. Your reflexologist will always recommend that you inform your midwife when you are receiving reflexology. Your pregnancy should be healthy, comfortable and as pain free as possible.
